Stigma and Language for Organisations

The Anti-Stigma Network have produced a guide to support organisations in thinking about the language they use particularly in relation to people who use, or have used drugs or alcohol. This guide is aimed at supporting professionals to use language which does not stigmatise.

The Anti-Stigma Network has worked with organisations from sectors as diverse as education, finance, retail, government, the arts, manufacturing, transport and many more in producing this guide.

Even if you do not have a daily connection with people who use, or have used, drugs or alcohol this is a useful guide to help you make a start on considering why language matters.
