Safer Sleep and Babies
What is Safer Sleep?
Every year, a small number of babies in the UK sadly die suddenly and unexpectedly, often during sleep and without an obvious cause. This is known as Sudden Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI), previously called SIDS. Although rare, these deaths are devastating — and following safer sleep advice every time your baby sleeps can significantly reduce the risk.
The animation and parent leaflet offers simple, practical advice to support safer choices and help protect babies from the increased risks linked to alcohol, drugs, medication and smoking.
